Today was the first day it was warm enough to open the  window for the afternoon, happily enjoying  the clean breeze stroking my face past my nose igniting  past  memories of smells.

Amazing clouds after a few days of rain, Fremont does not really get much real rain, I mean  it drizzles, it may pour for 30 minutes, or it will rain off and on in the morning and then afternoon,  sun out and blue in the sky.

Canadian geese live here all year round, never migrate, but its unusual to see one alone and maybe he is not alone I  and  I made this image which left out the others. i.e. this photograph is not REALLY representative  of the ?????,  the whole area, the real picture,  Phake?

alamedaCreek3925_65%ppi100E800

No matter how real you might think the image is in a photograph, it is never a complete image of everything that is “at that time, at that place ”because  while time and place can be the same “that perspective” is always different. Even when the camera is on a tripod  and you take two shots, one after the other, the time is always different but still to the eyes of more than person  the differences might not be perceptible or meaningful.

I could spot/retouch this image, and I think I might, removing/smoothing over the highlight distractions. See what happens next time.

Sora would accompany Basho on his trips around Japan, some would say where Basho brushed the ideal image Sora would later report the reality, but it is Basho’s haiku which  we remember, the fake story and not the true story of Sora, because of his presentation, that is one thing which Art is.

Any information on  computers is quantitative not qualitative. Its either a 1 or 0, and that include what appear as  images. With quantitive  information you can infinitely create any number of mathematical tools to make relationships between the individual pieces of quantified data , which can lead to an infinite number of interpretations which one can then sell to customers and anyone willing to believe.

col0658B_700

With people like the mercers, the kochs, the trumps and the trump white hosue administration, the bannons, fanatical talkshow hosts,   this kind of information  is a great tool to deceive that group of Americans that are so easily deceived and which we see as trump true believers.

mipstr_circles7_700

This is what quantifying  the human experience leads to, quantified data which  enables people  to put the different pieces together i ways which are out of context to make fake conclusions to groups of people who lack the ability to measure reality but are  thrilled to enter the world fantasy.

Guinomi are “one-gulp” cups to drink sake,  generally the term refers to the art of the container  as opposed to any container in which one might serve sake. Below are samples of ki sets, hagi, bizen, kyo style, euro oribe, oribe, sets, mashiko, and  you can see a Daruma .

Along Alameda Creek  Levee where I walk most every day, nothing happens too often,  a dead body floated by last year, no one saw it, we just know the place where the car went into the water was above and the it was found about 5 miles below, Most people were busy doing their normal daily lives.

I have been walking  along the Alameda Creek Levee since Spring 2007. In the fall I began doing four miles a day, not always every day but pretty good.

I met a lot of people, of some of them I have made images, people who have interesting stories and regular updates.

Boskey’s revenge

I find it difficult to understand why people do things, i.e. motivation. I find it much easier and clearer to describe what they did.

Almost everyday I walk along Alameda Creek doing four miles, used to be 52 minutes, now at 72 years of age  its longer, but its just not du to my age, after 11 years I have met many people on the trail and I may stop and talk to the,

alamedaCreek2982_65%ppi100F800

Where I find more it more common that people can agree on what what someone did, its much less common that people on agree on why they did that. Its easy to get agreement that person A shot person B, much more controversy when the subject moves to why.

alamedaCreek3116_65%ppi100D800

I personally do not like psychology which seems to assume that there a “normal person” and that somehow individuals can be placed somewhere  on a “normal curve” based on only specific variable. People are like machines all made of the same parts  and as they live the “same parts”  may get worn in different ways but the “repair” is always to return  the parts to their original (“normal”) condition.

alamedaCreek3186_65%ppi100E800

I prefer Sociology which uses the concept of “normative behaviour,”  i.e. behaviour which can be identified empirically as societal norms because it allows for individuals to be unique.

alamedaCreek8885_65%ppi100E800

In socialization individuals develop into their adulthood , not due to anything special, a person is born, grows up and is an adult.

alamedaCreek3236_65%ppi100E800

Alameda Creek changes  everyday, one day  I will post photographs of people I have randomly met while along the creek and who have become my “creek friends.”

I also like lines and shapes, it does not matter whether I see things which can be differentiated,  one thing from another and given a name.

alamedaCreek3080_65%ppi100D800

and a person who tends a tree on public property. Why does this man  do that?

alamedaCreek2969_65%ppi100D800

Why does one person treat people with respect while another gets pleasure by treating others with hate.

alamedaCreek3221_65%ppi100F800

Why is a president who is a hateful despicable, cruel, unethical  and immoral person admired at all by anyone in the United States?

alamedaCreek8888_65%ppi100E800

Boskey’s  Revenge was an annual event, with a reputation,  usually held in Boston area around St. Patrick’s day.  I know people associated with The Plough and Stars, where I used to sometimes drink half  and half  though I actually prefer  100%  Guinness,  located in Cambridge, between Central and Harvard Squares.
